Pool Chemicals

Swimming Pool Chemical - Saving tip.
One of the more common chemicals you’ll need for your pool on a regular basis beside Chlorine Sticks or Tabs and Chlorine Shock is:
Alkalinity Increaser
(Sodium Bicarbonate aka Baking Soda)
After a heavy rain the water dilutes the pools alkalinity and you will need increase the alkalinity to bring the level back up.
Now
do you go to the your pool store to get more alkalinity increaser????
and pay a lot
OR….
do you go the supermarket?
The supermarket?
Yep - I said the supermarket.
You normally can buy 1lb., 4 lb. and I think 8 lb. boxes or larger.
This tip alone could save you $50 a year.
Over what you’d be expected to pay at your pool store.
Here is a picture of the Alkalinity Increaser I carry on my truck –

Notice Any Similarities?

Yes I use the same stuff you buy at the supermarket
Just industrial size – that’s all.
It’s another big profit area for your local pool store.
But now you know the rest of the story!
Let me finish by saying I have owned a Swimming Pool Service for over 22 years in Florida.
I'm always open for any questions you might have.
Let me know what you think.
